"Above and Beyond"

We first met Richard a little over two years ago when my wife found some homes on the internet. At the time we lived in Colorado and were exploring Minnesota for a possible retirement location. Cathy contacted Richard to see if he could arrange a showing if we find the time to drive out from Colorado. Richard coordinated everything around our brief, two day visit to the Hinkley area. It was late fall and not much was going on with real estate. Nothing we looked at really impressed us, but Richard's attentiveness and customer service oriented professionalism certainly did. Fast forward to early 2018. Cathy found another home for sale on the internet, this time in the Pine City area. She reached out to Richard again, and again he went above and beyond. He arranged for a walk through on his own with the listing agent and reported back to us. Having our previous visit to compare, and knowing what we were really looking for, he made a favorable recommendation and we were soon arranging another visit. This time with only one home to view. In the interim, there were countless follow up calls with dozens of questions about all things related to the possible purchase and subsequent move to the area. Richard really earned our respect with his efforts. He met us at the property for our walk through and it was clear he had done his homework. He presented as though he were the listing agent. What he didn't know he made notes, and followed up as soon as he'd received an answer from the listing agent. afternoon we were ready to write an offer. The following morning Richard presented the offer and we headed back to Colorado. Late that afternoon Richard called and relayed the good news. The offer had been accepted with a couple of minor changes. There are dozens of examples where Richard's dedication, work ethic, and professionalism actively facilitated the success of our

life changing transition. Not only during the purchasing process, but well after the closing and delayed move to Minnesota. Historically, my experience with real estate professionals in Colorado had been in unfavorable at best. Richard Handy has renewed my faith in the profession.
